(BSc Sp Sci, Dip Phys Ther)
John Stacey (BSc Sports Sci, Dip Phys Ther) has over 12 years experience in assessing and treating musculoskeletal issues in both sporting and general populations. He has a specific interest in using rehabilitation exercises to return clients to painfree function and sporting excellence. John believes strongly in the benefits of being a teaching-practitioner, running both a busy clinical practice along with his tutoring of physical/sports therapy students and GP’s.
John has been with the Institute of Physical Therapy & Applied Sciences (IPTAS) since 2005 – as a senior tutor in the Applied Health Science stream and as a member of the team developing their degree and diploma programmes. He also designed and delivers the rehabilitation element of the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP) Diploma in Practical Musculoskeletal Injury Management.
In addition, John is currently undergoing an MSc in Strength and Conditioning to help deepen both his clinical and athletics coaching knowledge. John has coached several athletes to compete in world level championships.
