At the Institute we employ regular assessment as an important tool to help measure progress, manage your workload and bring the right focus to your study. It also provides the framework for your feedback.

The Institute assesses your progress through essays, research projects, tutor feedback, time-constrained examination, objective structured practical exams, case study presentation, skills assessment, and clinical assessment.

The extended pathway is widely accepted as being one of the most demanding modes of learning. While it makes third level study accessible, it also calls for excellent time management skills.

For students engaged in careers outside their study, it may be necessary to repeat an examination or part of an examination. These repeats are scheduled for the summer.
